I hope that all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I am recuperating from a fall that fractured my elbow and really hurt my wrist to the point that I am afraid that I will lose strength in my left arm.
This was the first Thanksgiving that I did not cook. I also wanted to write a post on how to cook and photograph with one hand. I did make a few dishes, but the pictures were not to my liking…save it for another post.
I did, however, spend the day with my beautiful daughter-in-law, my grandkids and her family.
Tom the Turk was so moist that the meat was falling off the bone.
This porchetta was incredible…sausage stuffing and wrapped in bacon…I am waiting for the recipe…it was delicious and an artery clogger.
Mashed potatoes with a creamy dressing…be still my heart.
Had lots of sides…cranberry sauce, roasted baby brussels sprouts and sweet potato casserole topped with nuts.
The children…the one is black is my Mykaila and the big guy in the back is Gabriel, my grandkids with their cousins.
